After Aurian mourned the deaths of Fili and Kili who have died in BofA, she pays the deadly injured Thorin a visit, to declare her loyalty to him.

He had send Aurian away before they entered Mirkwood, because of her spying activities on them. Maybe she was at this time already pregnant? Who knows...

A part of her does love Thorin and she's trying to feel the familiar connection she had with the brothers once more...
The part where Thorin apologieses for his behavior, Aurian doesn't cry because he mentions Fili, but because his words are from a dying man... At this moment she can't hold the tears anymore.

Her greatest fear was always being left behind by those she loves and she had hoped to find in Thorin something to hold on... And maybe her prayers will be heard and he survives? ...

What do you think? Should this have a Happy Ending or rather show the Brutal Truth ?
